Community Meeting to Provide Input on Ordinance Language Pertaining to Cannabis Consumption Lounges in Unincorporated Washoe County

Washoe County residents are encouraged to attend this community meeting to learn about the cannabis consumption lounge ordinance currently being drafted in unincorporated Washoe County. The Board of County Commissioners approved the concept of cannabis consumption lounges, so this is an opportunity to provide input on the wording of the ordinance for things such as the definition of cannabis consumption lounges, uses, and parking requirements. The ordinance will go before the Planning Commission on December 6.Â
The Washoe County Board of County Commissioners has directed staff to draft ordinance language that would allow cannabis consumption lounges to be licensed within unincorporated Washoe County. This does not pertain to consumption lounges within Reno or Sparks city limits. This meeting applies to input from community members to address ordinance language only.
