Results of the Proposed Cannabis Lounge and Zoning Changes

On January 17th, the Washoe County Commissioners voted 3-2 in favor of upholding the Planning Commission’s decision to deny the proposed change to county code that would have allowed for the creation and operation of cannabis lounges. Click here to view the news clip on this item.

The commissioners voted 5-0 in favor of the proposed zoning amendment for Incline Village Town Center Special Area 1 eliminating the requirement for affordable and/or multifamily (apartment) dwelling units in the commercial zone and allowing for condominium units to be built and sold. The amendment will now begin the TRPA Tahoe Area Plan amendment process. Meetings dates will be provided, once available.
