While the Candidate Forum was greatly appreciated, it left many questions unanswered and allowed candidate’s statements to be unchallenged. Had there been an opportunity for the candidates to challenge each other’s statements, it may have shed more light on the differences between the candidates. Challenging each other’s perspective is part of the decision making process of a board and had it been allowed it may have demonstrated each candidate’s ability to perform as a Trustee.
Conversation Cafe, an IVGID Seniors program, has allowed each candidate to present their positions and answer questions. Mark Case and Frank Wright have already presented and Harry Swenson is scheduled for this Thursday.
