In December 2018, the District hired a consultant and received an analysis report and cost estimate for the replacement of the Burnt Cedar pool. The report indicated that staff’s desired approach of repairing the pool to provide better circulation isn’t feasible due to structural issues. The report recommended the replacement of the pool for $850,000 plus an additional 10-12% in design fees. It is unclear where staff arrived at the $500K estimate for the repairs or the $2M estimate for pool replacement stated in the draft of the District’s capital projects budget. A summary report is available by clicking here. The entire report will be shared if you’re interested.
