Agenda includes:
- Discussion and direction to staff regarding potential Bill Draft Requests (BDRs) for the 83rd (2025) Session of the Nevada Legislature … to submit a recommendation to require the Reno-Sparks Convention Authority to grant to Washoe County a percentage of certain taxes collected from the rental of transient lodging in IV/CB to be used towards paying the costs of public transit to, from, and within the portion of the Lake Tahoe Basin located in Washoe County, and to impose a surcharge of $4 on the per night charge for rental of transient lodging in IV/CB to be distributed to Washoe County for same transit use.
- Introduce and conduct a first reading of an ordinance amending Washoe County Code Chapter 110 (Development Code), in Article 319, (Short Term Rentals (STRs)) by modifying various sections, including limit STRs to one per parcel in the Tahoe Planning Area – see agenda for full list of amendments.
