Tues Jan 17 – 10:00 am at 1001 E Ninth Street, Reno. Incline Village zoning amendment, the appeal of the Planning Commission’s denial of the Cannabis Consumption Lounges and an update on the tax refunds are of interest.

22. Public Hearing: Second reading and adoption of an ordinance amending Washoe County Code Chapter 110 (Development Code), Article 220 (Tahoe Area), Section 110.220.145 (Incline Village Commercial Regulatory Zone Special Area 1) to add single family dwellings, limited to air space condominiums, as an allowed use in Incline Village Commercial Regulatory Zone Special Area 1; and to amend Section 110.220.150 (Incline Village Commercial Regulatory Zone Special Policies) referring to land use to add Tahoe Area Plan Policy LU2-9 [Single family dwellings shall only be allowed in the Incline Village Commercial regulatory zone when they are part of a mixed-use development or when they are affordable housing units] as a special policy; and all matters necessarily connected therewith and pertaining thereto. 23. Public Hearing: Appeal of the Planning Commission’s denial of a proposed amendment to Washoe County Code Chapter 110 (Development Code), Articles 302, 304 and 410 related to cannabis consumption lounges (WDCA22-0003). The Board of County Commissioners (Board) shall consider the appeal based on the record before the Planning Commission as well as testimony and materials submitted at the Board’s public hearing. The Board may affirm or reverse the Planning Commission’s decision. If the Board reverses the Planning Commission’s decision, the Board may take various action – please see agenda as it includes more details. If the Board introduces and conducts the first readings, the Board is asked to set the public hearing for second reading and possible adoption of both Ordinances for February 14, 2023.
