The IVGID Board of Trustees meeting resulted in both Ordinance 7 changes (5-0 vote) and the 2022-23 Budget being approved (4 -1 vote with Trustee Wong in opposition), and Trustees Tonking and Wong being appointed to the Audit Committee effective July 1 (3-2 vote with Trustees Dent and Schmitz in opposition).
The Board requested changes to the budget including a $1M transfer from the General Fund to Utility Fund for the Effluent Pipeline Project. They also approved a one year hiatus for charges to the Utility Fund for central services costs. The combination of the two actions results in over a $1.5M infusion to the Utility Fund and its 2022-23 budget. Below is a link to the District’s summary of the Ordinance 7 changes approved last night. After over 20 years, the ordinance has been updated. Thank you to the Ordinance 7 Committee members, the members of the public who wrote and spoke to express their concerns and ideas, the Board of Trustees and staff for their efforts to make these important revisions possible.
