Citizen Advisory Board (CAB) Meeting

Tonight’s meeting at 5:30 pm via Zoom. The agenda includes the following topics of interest to our community:

1. 947 TAHOE BLVD. CONDOMINIUM PROJECT – Chuck Butler, the developer of the condominium project planned to be built at the corner of Southwood and Tahoe Blvd., will make a presentation on the development project. This will provide an opportunity for the community to learn about the condominium project and provide comments to the developer.
2. TAHOE TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT – Carl Hasty, Tahoe Transportation District Manager, will provide an update for on the status of the proposed mobility hub at the site of the former Incline Village Elementary School and transit initiatives related to biking, hikes and parking.
3. TAHOE KEY PROPOSED USE OF HERBICIDE TO LAKE TAHOE TO TREAT ACQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES – Last month the CAB had presentations on the Tahoe Keys’ proposed Control Methods Test designed to test multiple treatment methods, including aquatic herbicides, to identify what combination of methods will result in the best solution for ridding the Tahoe Keys of aquatic invasive weeds. Dennis Zabaglo, Aquatic Resources Program Manager with the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, was unable to attend to discuss TRPA’s role in this process. He will be making a presentation to clarify TRPA’s role in the project.
4. Washoe County Manager Eric Brown and possibly a representative of the Sheriff’s Office are planning to speak about the upcoming first reading of the provision to abolish the Office of the Constable for Incline Village-Crystal Bay. The first reading of the provision is expected to be on the Washoe County Commissioners meeting agenda on January 25th.
