TRPA project approval is expected in February or March. The public has yet to see the traffic study or project circulation analysis.
Below are concerns that have been requested to by addressed regarding the project:
1. Granite Place condos appear to have HOA control over the use of Scenic Drive as evidenced in their CC&Rs and Easement from the owner. It appears the HOA could shut Scenic Drive down, which would have an impact on upper Crystal Bay.
2. Traffic Study has not yet been shared with the public. The existing site was 95,000 sq. ft. of improvements. The new project build out is 733,000 sq. ft. with statements made about reduced traffic. The traffic study is important for community understanding.
3. Considering the planned entertainment events, casino, restaurants and bars, the circulation plans are important for public safety.
