At the Board of Trustees meeting on July 26th, staff provided a report showing losses doubled from fiscal year 2021-22 to $2,007 per day in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. At their meeting on May 8th, the golf financial reports showed a loss of $1,000/day at the Championship Course in 2021-22 and projected the losses for 2022-23 to be roughly $900/day. However, the unaudited fiscal year end numbers revealed the losses doubled to $2,007/day. In fiscal year 2021-22, when the losses as seen on Attachment E were $1,133/day, actual revenue fell short of budget by 39% while personnel costs were slightly over budget by 3%.
In fiscal year 2022-23, when the losses as seen on Attachment F were $2,007/day, actual revenue fell short of budget by 28% while personnel costs were over budget by 18%.
