The CAB will meet at 5:30 p.m. on August 7th and will have a slightly different format. Several community members have questioned how the information gathered at the CAB meetings is being shared with various governmental officials. In response to this question, the Chair will lead a discussion among CAB members, with public input, regarding ways to communicate a summary of input from the IVCB CAB meetings on important issues facing our community. There will also be a continued discussion on the topic of the preparation of a presentation to the Washoe County Commissioners. At the August 7th meeting, the list of important issues to be communicated to the Washoe County Board of Commissioners will be reviewed, both to consider the list from the flash vote survey identifying important issues, and also to gather additional input from CAB members and the public as to what should be in the list. Gathering public comment will be important. There will also be a brief introduction to the county’s new E-Comment procedure, which allows citizens to provide public comment electronically.
