The storage tank proposed for the WRRF is 99 feet in diameter, 40 feet high and holds 2 million gallons. Concrete panels will be formed on-site, then placed in position in the current Pond #1 area. Pond #1 will be decommissioned. In order for equipment to access the site, a 16 foot wide road will be created. The road surface material has not yet been determined. IVGID staff reported that TRPA is not formally involved yet in the project but has been consulted regarding coverage. NDEP (Nevada Division of Environmental Protection) and NDWR (Nevada Division of Water Resources) regulations are driving the planning process. Construction is proposed to begin May 2023.
