The Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) Board of Trustees voted to appoint Derrek Aaron, Clifford Dobler and Raymond Tulloch to serve as at-large members on the IVGID accounting, auditing and financial reporting Audit Committee. Aaron was appointed to fill a one-year term, while Dobler and Tulloch were appointed to fill two-year terms.
Aaron, Dobler, and Tulloch were selected on June 23, 2020 from a pool of eight community members who submitted their resumes for consideration.
The primary function of the Audit Committee is to assist the IVGID Board of Trustees in fulfilling its responsibilities in accordance with Nevada Revised Statutes, IVGID policies, practices, ordinances, and resolutions by providing oversight over the financial statements, systems of internal controls, internal audit plans and reports, and independent external auditor’s assessment of financial statements.
These appointments are part of an Audit Committee transition plan associated with IVGID Policy 15.1.0. Currently, IVGID Trustees Callicrate, Schmitz and Dent make-up the IVGID Audit Committee. The next steps in the transition plan are to train the three appointed at-large members and transition the committee to a new structure in September. One of the three trustees will transition off the committee and the new committee will consist of Aaron, Dobler, Tulloch, and two trustees.
