If you feel it is important to have the Washoe County Lay representative to the TRPA Advisory Planning Commission be a full-time resident of Incline Village/Crystal Bay rather than a resident of another District of Washoe County, please attend the meeting on Tuesday, leave an e-comment on the speak-up portal or email commissioners@washoecounty.gov BEFORE 4pm on Monday.
Background: At the Washoe County Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, they will be appointing a member to the TRPA Advisory Planning Commission. Only the incumbent, Judy Simon of Crystal Bay, is a resident of the basin and therefore in District 1. The list of candidates include the following:
Philip Gilanfarr – ineligible since his application was received after the deadline
James McNamara – Lives in District 2; application states he owns a second home in Incline Village
Judith Simon (incumbent) – Lives in Crystal Bay (District 1)
Tracey Thomas – Lives in District 4
