After the Washoe County Registrar of Voters reported there were an insufficient number of verified signatures to qualify for a recall election of IVGID Trustees Matthew Dent and Sara Schmitz, the organizers of the recall effort appealed the decision to the Nevada Office of the Secretary of State. After months of effort, at the taxpayers expense, the Office of the Secretary of State completed their investigation and confirmed there were insufficient signatures for a recall election. Per Nevada Revised Statute, the decision of the Office of the Secretary of State is final and no further action will be taken on the appeal.
