If you want your name removed from the recall petition, you must send an email to the Washoe County Registrar of Voters at ElectionsDepartment@washoecounty.gov requesting it be removed.
If you are concerned about others placing your name on the petition, email ElectionsDepartment@washoecounty.gov to inquire.
The final day for signature collection is September 20th.
At that time, signature verification will begin. If the threshold of verified signatures for one or both of the Trustees is/are obtained, a Recall Election will be scheduled. It is anticipated to be a mail-in ballot with a yes/no vote to recall. If either have more votes to recall than not to recall, the appointment process for filling the vacancy will begin. An appointment would be made by either the remaining IVGID Board of Trustees or the Washoe County Commissioners, in the event the IVGID Board of Trustees has a split vote.
