South Lake Tahoe – Cannabis Consumption Lounges?

The City Council of South Lake Tahoe will be discussing the idea at their meeting on January 9^th . The agenda is available for view with Cannabis Consumption Lounges as agenda Item #14. While this doesn’t directly impact Incline Village/Crystal Bay, we thought our readers may want to read and provide public comment. We know this was a large concern when Washoe County was considering cannabis consumption lounges last year.

There are two proposals: Version 1 allows lounges and Version 2 that does not. The only reference to impaired driving is in the proposal to allow for lounges.

Note on page 8 – Item j where it states, “Employees must cut off service to impaired customers and provide an option for a safe ride home, such as a shuttle, taxi, or ride-share service.”
