NEWS – A HIGHER Alternative Offer Has Been Submitted

March 6, 2021

  • We learned a higher, alternative offer was submitted to the Washoe County School District for the purchase the Old Elementary School site.  The offer proposed included a concept similar to the Village at Northstar. The plan includes mixed use retail/residential, public park and ice skating rink, and underground parking.
  • The community has spoken in large numbers in opposition of the Old Elementary School being used as a transit/mobility hub.
  • We believe TTD will be making a decision on the purchase at their meeting on Friday.  The meeting information and method for public comment will be posted on their website by tomorrow.  It will also be on our website calendar for your ease of use.
