The Envision Tahoe Lake Tahoe Prosperity Plan survey and report was conducted by the Tahoe Prosperity Center, an economic development nonprofit in Incline Village that advocates for improved housing and broadband access in the region.
The reports begins by concluding that “regardless of where they live in the region or their individual situations – are unified in their concern that housing, traffic congestion, and other visitor impacts pose the biggest threats to the quality of life in the Tahoe Basin. Unsurprisingly, in the wake of the Caldor Fire, residents also rank wildfires and smoke as among the most significant threats to the Tahoe Region as a whole. And there is a strong consensus across Tahoe over which efforts should be given priority to maintain or improve quality of life for residents and workers.”
