At their meeting on February 8th, the Washoe County Commissioners voted to abolish the Office of the Constable for Incline Village effective January 2, 2023. Judge Tiras and Constable Keller were not allowed to present to the Commissioners except during 3-minute public comment. Commissioners Hartung, Jung, Lucey voted in favor with both Commissioners Herman and Hill speaking out in opposition. The Tahoe Daily Tribune misquoted the facts. It was Herman, not Jung, who spoke out about her voice messages and emails all being in opposition. After our notification to the Tahoe Daily Tribune, their on-line content has been corrected.
