At their September 13th meeting, agenda item #12 includes the potential award America Rescue Plan Act (APRA) funds to a variety of governmental agencies and the General Improvement Districts (GIDs) of Sun Valley and Palomino Valley. Sun Valley is potentially being awarded $250,000 for projects to rehabilitate playground equipment, resurface a park basketball court, and finance a water conservation and energy consultation at four parks. The Palomino Valley GID is potentially being awarded $250,000 for three road repair and maintenance projects. Upon learning this, IVGID GM Winquest was contacted and asked why the agenda item includes no potential funding for IVGID. He stated the county has made a commitment to award $250,000 to all GID’s, including IVGID, however this is not part of the agenda item. Click here to view the agenda.
Also on the agenda, Consent Item 9.H.1., includes the update on payments made to date for the property tax overpayments for residential properties at Incline Village/Crystal Bay. To date, over $30M of principle and interest has been paid to 4,971 parcel owners. Click here to view the update.
